Social media, or How I learned to speak up and write a blog

This mornings article is in regards to the Jays “fan” that threw a beer can at Orioles outfielder Hyun Soo Kim, during the seventh inning of Tuesday nights AL wild card game.

There were many articles written, but this one on cbc is as good as any: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/police-appeal-to-beer-thrower-1.3792436

It’s been a long week. I’ve started a new job, and only had one day off in a week and a half, so unless something major happens this weekend, this will be the only post from me, on here.

Firstly, there have been a lot of photos circulating on social media. Most of them show Kenneth Pagan, 41 drinking a beer moments before it was apparently thrown on field.

What isn’t being mentioned in the news, is that he’s drinking from a plastic cup. Not a beer can.

Tonight, he voluntarily turned himself in, and was charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.

Something else that isn’t being mentioned, is that a blonde woman a few rows above him, also apparently threw a beer after the game.

So why is an apparent innocent man taking blame for someone else actions. And why is the media blaming him?

It’s a witch hunt and no one seems to know what to think.

Toronto police superintendent has even posted on twitter asking the perpetrator to “turn themselves in.”

A reward has also been put forward by the Toronto Sun, a reputable news paper, if there ever was one.
